HANDOUTS & Information from our last meeting

(September 2019)

🐅 🐅 🐅

At our April 2019 meeting the evening presentation focused on huge strides made by Groveton administrators to get Level IV services at Groveton

Principal Swoger and Mr. Morris talked about how the new services - set to be implemented during the 2019-2020 school year - would give parents an alternative to Stratford Landing.  It would also mean that families in the Immersion Program would not have to choose between Immersion or a Level IV school.

Get updates, start conversations and follow events by clicking on the "Events" tab on the left side of the Facebook page to help keep life - and kids - organized.  You can also share interesting stories, photos and fun!

At the March PTA meeting the presentation focused on the summer learning programs through Fairfax County.  Click on the link or the picture to the left, to see the Power Point presentation -- or go directly to the FCPS Summer Programs website.

There were lots of good questions at the meeting -- including some that cleared up confusion about

transportation (students can get a bus at West Potomac High School for some programs held at Fairfax High School!).  Make sure to check out the program and get in touch with FCPS for more information.

PTA MEETING UPDATE

January 2020

LOCKDOWN DRILLS

Principal Swoger, along with his team (shout-out to A.P. Davis, A.P. Casablanca and Ms. Ricks!!!) heard our concerns over lockdown drills at a previous PTA meeting.

So, the team will be sending out a notice to let families know a lockdown drill has occurred via the FCPS "News You Choose" email list, for families to be aware when a drill has happened, in case students have any questions or concerns when they get home.
MANY THANKS to the Admin Team!
